SOMA Flavors

When reflecting on your favorite dish, work of art, car, house or nature, you realize that some of the best things in life are created when a combination of elements come together - each contributing their unique flavor to make the finished product better and stronger. There are SO MAny flavors within each of us individually, as well as within our families and our communities. When we come together, the possibilities of what we can create and accomplish are infinite!

Founded in 2010,  SOMA Flavors is a small, family-oriented business that reflects the strength, creativity and character of four generations of black women and men in our family working together to delivery high-quality products and services. We began as a personal chef service providing prepared meals, catering and custom cakes and dessert, and eventually opened a small bistro in Southern Maryland. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we pivoted our artistic talents to focus on designing and curating fun, unique and stylish apparel, home goods and personal and life-style products.

All of our print-on-demand products are designed by members of our family and made and distributed with the help of our production partner. In addition to items that feature our designs, we offer a range of products that members of our family are familiar with and highly recommend based on our own positive experiences as customers.

We launched MASK by SOMA Flavors in 2022 as our signature brand that embodies our goal of uplifting our family and community. MASK serves as a reminder of our goal to leave a legacy of empowerment, entrepreneurship, perseverance, and financial independence for our daughters (Madison, Ashley-Phoenix, Shaquan and Kristan) and future generations that follow.
